Back From Summer Vacation

Hey everyone, yeah I know I've been away the whole summer but that's what happens when you overbook yourself for just about everything and you can't find a minute to sit down and collect your thoughts.

Anyways, Fall and Winter are coming! I know half of you are saying yay and half are saying nay but we all need to be prepared for the seasons!

So today's tip is get you're car tuned up! In a tune-up your mechanic should replace the spark plug wires, fluids, check brakes, brake lines, and a whole bunch of other stuff to make sure your car is safe and ready for winter. If you live in a really cold region ask your mechanic what kind of  anti freeze you should use in your engine, there are different ones for different temperatures.
This is also the time to start thinking about snow tires for those of you who need them, they are a critical  part of winter driving safety, if you don't have them and you drive in the snow a lot then you NEED them. My brother who is a mechanic recommends looking on tirerack.com to get reviews and prices, then going to your local tire shop and asking for the ones you want, they will also help with any questions you may have.

Does anyone have other suggestions on how to prepare you car for winter?

Drive safe :)
